Poland national team manager Franciszek Smuda has said that the country’s right back Lukasz Piszczek could be a great signing for Real Madrid this season. Spanish club Real Madrid are looking at the possibility of signing Borussia Dortmund right back Lukasz Piszczek in the summer. He has been influential in the team over the last two seasons in helping them win the title ahead of Bayern Munich. It has been a tremendous achievement from Borussia Dortmund, and a major chunk of the praise should go to Lukasz Piszczek according to Franciszek Smuda. The manager has also said that Real Madrid would benefit a lot from signing Lukasz Piszczek.
However, signing the Poland international will certainly not be easy because Dortmund have been extremely hard on their stance that they will not sell their player in the summer. It will be an interesting summer for Dortmund because they will be hoping to retain most of the stars, yet doing well in the Champions League next season. Poland have a number of high profile players, who are showing their talent in recent seasons. The Dortmund players Kuba Blaszczykowski and striker Robert Lewandowski are a few of them. They have been named in the Bundesliga team of the season along with Lukasz Piszczek.
“He’d definitely make the first team. He chews up his opponents and spits them out. I know that for every player, Real Madrid is like a fairy tale, but Piszczek really would fit. He has no reason to have any hangups,” Franciszek Smuda said about his right back. Poland will be hoping that these players impress for them at the Euro 2012. They are the group containing Russia, Greece, and Czech Republic. Given the current form of these players, Poland will be hoping to qualify from the group along with their home advantage.
