Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Poland ace Krystof Piatek according to reports from Italy. The English side have failed to produce the best of starts this season and are currently languishing above the relegation places. It is understood that manager Ole Gunnar Solsjaer has imformed the board that he needs new signings in January.
Piatek is believed to be one of the players that have been earmarked by the club as a major signing for the club. The Poland international was sensational for AC Milan last season after signing for the club in January.
Piatek is expected to cost around £50 million having made the move to Milan for around £34 million less than eight months ago. Piatek is regarded as one of the top young forwards in Europe and a move to United would be a step up from the Rossoneri.
It is also thought that United are also looking to make a move for Christian Eriksen on a bosman deal. Eriksen has refused to sign a new deal with Tottenham with his contract expected to expire in the next six months.
The midfielder is regarded as one of the best in the EPL and United are among the clubs said to be interested in his signature. It is understood that the club have been in contact with his representatives regarding a transfer this summer.
The future of Paul Pogba has also weighed heavily in this decision as it is expected that the Frenchman could make his move to Real Madrid this summer. Eriksen would be expected to replace the flamboyant French ace who has flattered to deceive since his big money move from Juventus some few seasons back.
Manchester United will be hoping to resume the EPL with improved fortunes as they face high flyers Liverpool on Sunday.
