Robert Lewandowski has extended his contract with German champions Bayern Munich, according to reports.
The Poland international finally signed an extension that will tie him down until 2021.
The 28-year old Bundesliga striker joined Bayern from Borussia Dortmund in 2014. Since his move, Lewandowski has netted a whopping 86 times in 122 games. This season he had scored 19 already, making him one of the most lethal strikers in the game at the moment.
“I am very happy that the negotiations were successful. It means I will stay at Bayern for a few more years,” the Polish star said.
Lewandowski has been instrumental to the Bundesliga titles so far – aside three successive semi final finish in the Champions League. The German giant are bidding for their record five straight victories this season. They are currently sitting atop the league and are favourites to lift the title again despite the change in coach.
